No Annoying Videos Today

The little guy has been very challenging lately, as I'm trying to get him to nap in his crib and he just isnt too pleased with that idea. It's taking me 30-45 minutes to get him to sleep (even in the swing, let alone the crib) and then he will only snooze for 30 minutes. He wakes up and can only last about 1-1.5 hrs until the next nap ... so essentially, my entire day now revolves around his napping. His big sister is pretty ticked at the amt of attention her little brother is requiring, and getting a little bit sassy with me. After 45 minutes, I actually got him down at the same time as his sister and (knowing I had 30 minutes) squeezed in the fastest shower and workout I could.

I didnt have enough time for a video and have had bad luck with them anyway, and figured I'd go back to my original list of ab exercises for today. Because I havent dont anything since Friday, and (to top that off) have been polishing off the pastries left over from the weekend, I at least upped my planks from 20 to 30 seconds ;)

Torso Extensions or “Press Ups” 10 reps
Superman – upper & lower body 20 reps
Front Plank – from toes 30 second, 3X
Bird Dogs – limbs off centered 10 reps, holding 10 sec each
Segmental Hip Bridges 10 reps, 2X
Pelvic Floor Gliding Contractions 120 seconds
Torso Rolls 60 seconds
TransVersus Abdominus (TVA) 15X each leg, 3X
Crunches 15reps, 3X
Roll Downs 10 reps
Modified Pushup 10reps, 2X
Cats & Dogs 10reps

On another note ...

I had been hoping to go to the "Burgers and Beer" run I mentioned before. Its held the first Monday of every month. While last month it would have been feasible, this month the kids schedules make it pretty impossible. They both are going to bed at about the same time, both take about 45 minutes to put down, and right now its really a team process. I dont think either one of us could manage to get them both to bed on our own, and the run would definitely overlap with bedtime. Even when I dont want an excuse out of a workout, it seems these kids are always providing me one! On the other hand, the monthly Pilates & Pancakes run is this weekend. Its on my radar for now ...

Eventually, I'm sre their schedules will allow you to do more. For now though, you're doing a lot with the time you have!
