Feelin Funny Post Race

Well, its been a couple of days since the Miami 1/2. I'm still feeling funny. I dont know how else to explain it. Yesterday morning I took Brooke (who is already 100% back to being Mommy's girl) for a walk to Starbucks, thinking it would do both of us some good. When I got in the door a wave of nausea attacked, I got a little dizzy, and broke into a cold sweat. I didnt feel good the rest of the day. Today is similar. I get a queasy feeling on and off and am really tired. I just dont know what is up.

I did think my chest pains during the race might have been some sort of panic attack. I've never had that happen before, but it was possible. I even joked to my friend that I was having a "pity attack" instead of a panic attack, since I spent so much time feeling sorry for myself. Now that I am still not feeling so great I'm assuming its all related ... and probably started with the earache I had a few days prior to the race.

I've been taking it easy and trying to rest, as much rest at a toddler will let me get anyway ;) I have a few days of family vacation planned next week and am sure that will get me back to normal, but if I'm not feeling better by Friday I'll head to a doctor just in case.

Thanks to all of you for the well wishes and attempts to cheer me up! I'm really not too upset about the race and completely understand we have good days and bad days, just as much as good races and bad races. There were a number of factors that led to my lousy outing, many (ok ... most) of which were solely contributed by me!

I somehow missed your previous post...sounds like it was a CRAZY race. But you know what?...you did it!....you finished! You didn't crawl back into bed. :)

Hope you are feeling back to your normal self soon!

I was gonna say the say thing as Lorian: Pregnant?

Lorian & Jess - thats the funny thing. How I'm feeling isnt that unlike my 1st trimester. Nausea, tiredness, headache. I've taken a nap every day since I got back, while Brooke is napping, and I never do that! But thats not what it is. I've been googling things that have the same symptoms as pregnancy but am not having any luck ;) Maybe I should go to a doctor instead of trying to be GoogleMD ...
