ACS : Grassroots Campaign Rolls Nationwide

The American Cancer Society (ACS) has launched a grassroots campaign this summer. You can catch the Fight Back Express in any one of the 48 continental US.

What's Happenin on the Bus?
Bus visitors can join the ACS grassroots movement by:
  • Signing a petition calling for access to quality health care for all Americans.
  • Sending e-mails to members of Congress asking them to support cancer-fighting laws and policies.
  • Signing the bus itself as a show of support for making cancer a national priority.
  • Sharing your cancer story. (The bus is specially equipped so visitors can share photos, reflections and cancer stories via the Web. The stories will be forwarded to lawmakers and candidates as part of ACS CAN's Picture A Cure initiative, helping document the impact of cancer on individual lives and communities.)
  • Posting comments on the Fight Back Express blog, giving your own account of the tour as it visits parks, schools, college campuses and fairgrounds – even American Cancer Society Relay For Life® events.
  • Buy miles to fuel the tour. (The Fight Back Express is funded by the contributions of millions of American Cancer Society and ACS CAN donors. Relay For Life volunteers have fueled the effort by purchasing bus miles at $10 each. You can support the tour, too – log on to buy miles.)
