My 6 Word Mantra

Ok, so I was tagged twice for this 6-word-mantra thing. Once by Sarah Jo, and before that by Maggie Mae. I have been slacking on this as I try to find 6 words that describe how I feel about life (or how I survive it).

According to Maggie Mae over at "Runner at Large", here are the rules:
  1. Write your own six word memoir
  2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you want
  3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post, and to the original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere
  4. Tag at least five more blogs with links
  5. Leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!
I am in a funny space right now, in between here and there. I was going to try to think of something running-related, but I realized it doesnt describe my life...or even me at this moment. So I have been pondering. And pondering. And pondering.

What are my failthful standbys? Where do I go when I need comfort? Are there any sayings I always use? Are there 6 words that could describe me yesterday, today andtomorrow?
This is what I came up with, the words that define my life:
When life happens, eat a cupcake

Why is this my mantra? Several reasons. I have noticed (through the assistance of this blog) that I tend to reward myself for my accomplishments with pastries. In addition, when I am having a tough or lousy day ... I console myself with pastries. Luckily my life is pretty even-keel. If it was lots of ups and downs, there would be lots of cupcakes, and I would be buying the next size up in pants every 6 weeks. Instead, I truly enjoy my cupcake moments. Even after years of turning to the cupcake, I never tire of it. It still brightens me up when I need it, and makes me feel properly rewarded when I think I have done something right. So by using the word "life", I mean the good and the bad stuff. I think its important to take some time out for yourself to think about your successes and failures, and I personally eat a cupcake while taking that time.

Now I guess I have to tag 5 of my friends in the blogosphere! Here goes:
1) meanjean
2) LeahC
3) labcabbie

I have to think about 4 & 5 ... I surfed around and everyone I know has already been tagged. This must be a popular blog-chain, sorry I am the last on on the bandwagon!
