Pedicures - A Cure For Knee Pain?

My knees were hurting this morning - but I may have found a cure...pedicures! I with with Beca (a fellow TNT member) today to get manicures and pedicures because our aching feet deserved some pampering :) When you get a pedicure, they massage your legs and feet (in addition to making your toes really pretty) and since then my knees have felt pretty good today. Wouldn't that be perfect if the secret to my success was pedicures? (Note: blogger currently wishing on falling star while typing)
In addition to the mani/pedi, Jeff and I ran some errands (including grabbing a big fatty lunch) and I picked up the current issue of Runners World. If I am gonna try to be a runner, I think I need to keep up with the world of a runner, so I have some reading to do for tomorrow! The current issue is the "half-marathon special" and boasts of an article that promises to provide me the secrets to running in the heat ... so I think this issue was made with me in mind :)

We just returned home from our friends, where we barbequed and sat out to enjoy the weather. Though it hit the high 90's today, it has cooled down quite a bit since the sun set, and it turned out to be an enjoyable evening. I played it safe with a turkey-burger, but followed it up with (THREE) brownies which I think more than cancels the turkey-burger out. Oh well, everyone deserves a brownie (or three) every once-in-a-while.

Injuries & Prevention
As I noted before, I am having some problems with my knees. These problems are different than the problems I was having before, and I am going to try to get into a physical therapist tomorrow. I am hoping I can get some guidance for how to handle this week leading up to our 14 MILER. I am also looking for a new class to take as my pilates class ended, and am thinking about a heat-yoga class. The thing is, the class sounds really hard and I am not sure I want to take up an additional difficult workout. I was kindof looking for something thats more stretching and stuff - but am having problems finding something for when I want it. I think I will try this yoga class, but not until next week. In case something goes wrong, I dont want to screw up my fourteen mile run from yoga-overexertion! Next weekend we have a 90 minute run, so I think a yoga class prior shouldnt be as dangerous of a move...
