I'm Gonna DO IT!

Just took the dog out for her morning exercise. Wrigley likes to play fetch in the alleyway between our building and the one next to us. As she lays here panting her fool head off, I am still working on the courage to go OUTSIDE and run. The weather channel says its 48 - but it feels pretty chilly and the sun refuses to stay out. According to my TNT training, today is a "day of rest", but considering I havent been pushing myself very hard (and the fact that I continue to eat old Easter candy) makes me think a 30 minute jog would be a good idea. In addition, I seriously need to work on this whole fear thing. While the fear of the outdoors is a confirmed condition (agoraphobia) I cant find a single thing justifying the fear of running outdoors :( So, I am on my way out...

Bridgette - the shoes I have been posting are totally for fun. I have a shoe clininc on Saturday for the "real shoe" so havent had to worry about them yet ... but as a woman with a mild shoe obesession I tend to gravitate towards shoes anyway. I bought the sweet Nike MaryJanes before I saw two different Privo's that I like ... currently I am convincing myself that I need to keep the Nike's, and in addition buy these Privos in brown ;)

www.favoriterun.com I don't know if it is the end-all, be-all to mileage, but it can give you a pretty good distance. It uses google maps, so I trust that it is at least in the ballpark.

One more thing - if it is a bit chilly outside, that's good! Perfect running weather, because you will warm up very quickly!

i agree with bridgette on the temp. they say to add 20 degrees to the current temperature and that's what it'll feel like when you are running. so...if it's 48 out it's really going to feel liek 68. it's actually the perfect temp, so go out there and enjoy yourself! good luck :-)
