So, I Went To My Yoga Studio ...

And walked out feeling nice & relaxed. Did I finally get in a yoga class? Nope. I got a prenatal massage.

I have been stressed with school lately, and having a lot of issues with physical comfort on top of that. Sitting at a laptop, in a desk, or at a table, for hours at a time can wreak havoc on anyone. Try it when you are 32 weeks pregnant ;) After about an hour at my laptop my back hurts. Then my ribs hurt. Then my head hurts. It has been challenging to try to keep focused on my work when I am so uncomfortable. In fact, I am often more than uncomfortable. I can say (without exaggerating) that I actually find myself to be in pain quite often.

I thought a massage might do me some good, and it did. I felt great. The masseuse worked out some kinks in my back and other areas that have been pretty locked up over the past few weeks. I thought I was ready to get back to work.

But, it was short lived. By dinner time I was crampy and uncomfortable again and this morning I woke up with a backache. I honestly think I just can not win. I've got about 8 weeks left of this pregnancy (give or take). I've got about 5 or so weeks to get my dissertation proposal complete. Lets not forgot I have more to my life than this pregnancy and dissertation too :) I'm aware I just need to suck it up, but I'm thinking its going to be a rough couple-o-weeks.

Unless I can start off each day with a massage. And I sure dont see that in my future!

you are doing the hardest marathon of all right now! it stinks to be uncomfortable all day long, so I can imagine that makes everything else feel harder... but you are close to the end now!
