Running Elvii

The Las Vegas Marathon & Half Marathon currently has almost 100 people from around the world coming to Las Vegas to run as Elvis. The desire is to break the world record for people dressed as Elvis participating in an activity ... and so they need a minimum of 148 people to run as "The King". Thank goodness Elvis is running because lately I am not (but I swear, I have a run on the schedule for tomorrow!!)

This Elvis running thing made me curious, what other world records have Elvis impersonators made?

• The current Elvis' gathering record was set in Wales, when 147 Elvis impersonators gathered at the Parkes Elvis Festival.
• A Welsh Elvis impersonator set the world record for number of tribute performances in a single day - 70 of them (along with multiple costume changes)
• A guy in Quebec believes he has broken his own world record by singing Elvis' songs continuously for 46 hours and 30 minutes.
• Jamie Aaron Keller is listed as the first and only person to memorize all 790 songs Elvis released in his lifetime, and he sang all of them in front of a live audience at Graceland in 1999
