There is one thing that only a super-genius would do while battling a cold - go for a run in the middle of a thunderstorm. Yup. Thats what I did.
Running in the rain

So I went to the lakefront after school in order to get a few miles in, with the intention of doing anywhere from 5 to 8 depending on how I felt. It was really hard starting, my body was not happy to be in motion, but I tried to drown out the part of me that is a huge baby and keep going. About 1.5 miles into my run it started POURING. I stood under a tree for a few minutes until it let up, and then ran back in the rain. Running in the rain is challenging! Maybe its not so bad with a hat, but I think running while squinting might be a little bit dangerous ... and so I wasn't really feeling it. By the time I got back to my car it had stopped raining, and it hasnt rained since. Big suprise.
Training Log
Time:  32:35 time  Distance:3.10 miles   Pace:  10:30 min/mi
Since I didnt run much distance, both the total distance and pace are a bit of an estimate. I didn't clearly hit any mile markers, and ran faster on the way back as I tried to outrun the rain :) So I did a bit over three miles and ran about a 10 1/2 minute mile (probabaly a bit closer to 10:20).
