Note To Self

Dear Self,

The next time you decide to go for a run after:
  1. 5 hours of sleep
  2. Downing a vanilla latte
  3. Inhaling a cinnamon muffin
  4. Doing an hour of Pilates
Would you please talk to me? You have been training for the Marathon for 5 months now and should know so much better. Also, while you may be thinking "at least it wasnt ice-cream", please think again. If you think a latte and cinnamon muffin are any better than ice-cream, you must be crazy.

Time:  27:00 time  Distance:2.5 miles   Pace:  10:48 min/mi
I decided to do a few miles at increasing speeds, as a cheap way to get in a speed workout. So I started doing like a 10:55, then a 10:30, and finally a 10:10. I made it 1/2 mile doing the 10:10 and was pretty sure I was going to either a) vomit b) pass out. Thus, the end of my workout. Now Im feeling a bit guilty as I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow and this is just the beginning of my slacking :(
