Where Does the Time Go?

Its 10:17 pm and I feel like my day has barely begun. I am trying to get some work done and my contacts are not cooperating - my vision is blurry and I am sleepy :( But I don't feel like I accomplished enough with my day and am attempting to spend a few more minutes cramming in some "productive time"!

Thank goodness today was a Rest/Stretch day - my knees have been a bit sore all day, the right one especially. This pain is different than the knee stuff I was fighting earlier in training. Seems like each day I am encountering something new with this whole process!

I woke up this morning after a great nights sleep. As a bit of an insomniac, Saturday nights tend to be quite heavenly with the drain the long run has on me. Most people I know have been napping after our Saturday runs - but I refuse. I stay up as late as possible, and when I go to bed I sleep like a dream. Its my favorite night of the week ;) Jeff and I went to the gym and I worked on some strength training. I think my new knee problems are IT-band related...which means I need to strengthen some muscles! After the gym, we showered, grabbed some lunch at a local bar (that has and amazing Turkey Burger!) and went to the Cubs game. We didn't stay for the whole game (they won though!) because we had to head to Jeff's parents in Wheaton for dinner. Jeff's Great Aunt Irene has been in town for about two weeks and is leaving tomorrow - so we went for dinner and to say our goodbyes.

Now we are home and I am trying to get some work done. I have lots of stuff to prep for a meeting on Tuesday in additon to some of my research work. Tomorrow I get to go to the dealership to bring our car in for service - last time it took them 4 hours for a routine check-up / service appointment ... so I am quite excited to see how much of my day I will be spending there tomorrow.
