Another Pet Peeve - Random Touching

The other day I mentioned how I am not a big fan of strangers talking to me - this morning that got topped - I got a random to talk to me and TOUCH ME. That is obviously much worse, and if I had to limit my pet peeve list - the touching would win.

So I am walking around campus with a huge pile of books - and these books are big. About 2 feet long, and about 2 inches thick... As I am carrying these books from the library to my office, a strange guy stops me. "Wow, How old are those?". This wasnt that weird - the books contain a magazine/periodical from 1900 ... so I can see someone having an interest. He asks me about the books, whats in them, etc. Again, not so weird. (I would have preferred he not talk to me at all, but his interest was "intellectual" at this point, so I wasnt horribly bothered). Then, this guy touches my bicep and asks me if I got it from carrying the books around, or from Pilates. He then proceeds to tell me about a new Pilates studio close by that "has girls like me"...which he defines as "huge". I then try to run away as fast as possible, with a 50lb arm full of books.

I am pretty sure that this whole interaction was abnormal, and that I am allowed to add "strangers touching me" to my pet peeve list :)
