Ok, I'm a bit behind on the blog. Ryan was born two weeks ago, my 10 pound little man! Things have been a bit hectic around here as I try to adjust to being a mother of two. Its a pretty huge change over what I have grown accustomed to over the past two years with Brooke. I have a feeling its gonna take quite a while until I get into the swing of things ;)
Despite the fact I'm in over my head, I already have a December deadline for the next step in my dissertation. I'm trying to figure out how to get back into running ... with two kids and a demanding school program :) I'm not in a rush to run, but carrying (and pushing out) a ten pound baby wreaks havoc on the body. I'm not young enough to expect my body to just spring back, so I've got my work cut out for me!
As for a game plan, I'll likely start my personal training back up in January. I'm hoping to do post-natal-recovery class too. And I'd like to shoot for the 2011 Shamrock Shuffle, an 8K. Luckily, the next one isnt until April 11, almost a month later than it has taken place in previous years. With an 8 week training program I'll have to hit the pavement in early February. We will just have to see how it all turns out. Right now I'm just taking it day-by-day...
