"Bags on Board is a compact, refillable dispenser which houses a roll of 15 large bio-degradable doggie clean-up bags. It attaches to any kind of leash - standard or retractable. With Bags on Board, you'll always have bags with you."
Not all of their bags were clearly marked "bio-degradable" and those that were said that they did not meet California standards. But ... I can't find any info pertaining to that on the website ;)
I don't know how much using these bag's can really impact anything, I have to figure its better than using the typical plastic bag. There are some other alternatives:
Terra has posted about dog waste and promotes the "Doggie Dooley". This contraption is meant for a backyard and acts as a sort of septic tank. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately!) we dont have a yard (the joys of city living) so this option is not available.
If only I could find the product made famous in the movie Envy: Vapoorize. If I could just make it all dissappear ... now that would make things so much easier!
And since the VaPoorizer doesnt really exist, it looks like I need to find an alternative ways to eliminate doggie doodie. The folks in San Francisco are looking into using pet waste as an alternative fuel source. Maybe I can just pack up all of Wrigley's waste and ship it to San Francisco?

This morning I could not find my mp3 player. I seriously almost freaked out. I have been going for a run on the treadmill on Mondays & Wednesdays after my Pilates class ... since I am already at the gym. Today is a Monday - which means a treadmill run. AND NO MUSIC!!! I kept trying to think of excuses as to why I couldnt do my run, but just was unable to be creative. In result, I spent the longest 30 minutes of my life on the treadmill. It was so boring and tedious, but I did it. I am currently patting myself on the back in honor of my determination and will-power ;)

I like the idea of vaporizing the dog poo. I hate how it feels through the baggie. Ick.

My Zoe has been green for a while. We use BioBags. They are BPI certified (not all bags are and that means they may just fragment) and even compostable. The Petco here sells them and I feel much better about taking our walks. Just don't put them in a plastic garbage bag when you're done - otherwise, what's the point?
