Dustin, a 22-year-old Cubs fan, was diagnosed with leukemia and it has metastasized to the bone. He is currently undergoing vigorous cancer treatment. There is a contest going on at Wrigley for someone to sing during the 7th inning stretch. After passing through an initial round on the Thursday, August 16th, Dustin is now one of 10 finalists!
The results will be announced in a pre-game ceremony on Saturday, September 22, at Wrigley Field and the winner will be awarded the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the 7th Inning Stretch of that Cubs game.
Please take a moment to vote for Dustin! (He is the 9th one on the list).
To Workout, or Not To Workout ... That Is The Question
I am supposed to do a 20 minute run today. Thats nothing. Problem is, my mind and body say "NO!". Lately it has taken me a bit to recover from the Saturday runs - its like I need Sunday and Monday to get back to being me. Today I am a bit sore, and have some pains (more like discomfort) in my shins and ankles. How hard is it to run just a few miles? Not very hard. How much do I want to sit on the couch and do nothing? Very much. How likely am I to get this run in tonight? Odds are better that I win the actual Marathon then run tonight :( But...theres always a chance, right?

You can do it! I know it might be hard to get out there, but after 150 minutes, 20 is nothing. Plus, I've found that a short, takin'-it-easy sort of run can soothe my soreness.
