Now that the 4th has come and gone, I get this weird feeling that the summer is over...and yet also that it never really began! Its not to long until school starts again, so I need to get all of my work and research done ... but also make sure to find the time (and ways) to enjoy the summer :)
Today, Jeff had off work and we did just that - "summer stuff". We spent the day at the Art Institute. I really liked the Sarah Hobbs photography, especially this one titled "Insomnia". It felt like she was thinking of me when she did it :(
And I also liked the popular stuff, especially Monet :)
After the museum we went to the Taste of Chicago for a bit, and grabbed some fudge and other fudge-coated goodies before heading home. Now I am back to work, trying to get some productive stuff done before dinner time!
Training Log
Time:  29:43 minutes  Distance:2.86 miles   Pace:  10:23min/mi
I ran the same route as yesterday and definitely felt slower. First, it was a log hotter! Second, I am having some pains in my knees (and maybe my shins?) and it slowed me down a bit. I definitely wanted to get the run in today to take tomorrow off - primarily because I want to mimic what I did last week since my 12 miler went so well, but also because I think I need the rest :) Right now my legs are so sore, but I have a feeling that walking around all day probably didnt help. Tomorrow I am going to minimize my activity and focus on being lazy!
